Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

Part-time to full-time (~24-40 hrs / week)

As the months get warmer we get busier, and our operations would not be possible without our behind-the-scenes staff. If you have experience in bookkeeping and administrative duties, and are looking to work in a Thunder Bay operated, fast-paced, and fulfilling environment – we would love to have you join our team!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable
    • File and organize incoming bills to ensure that they are being paid in a timely manner
    • Review bills being received to ensure accuracy
    • Communicate with vendors and companies to ensure accurate and timely billing
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Ensure that billing and invoicing have been completed accurately
      Ensure companies are paying the amount owed
      Send second notices if there has been a time lapse since the first bill
      Bring to the attention of the General Manager if a bill is outstanding
      Communicate with vendors and companies to ensure accurate and timely billing
  • Help with receiving and processing all incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Manage cash
  • Batch, organize and file daily invoices
  • Data entry
  • Answer phone calls, return messages
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner

Requirements / Preferred Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year bookkeeping experience
  • Diploma in accounting or bookkeeping an asset but not required
  • Proficient in english 
  • Computer literacy and experience in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high degree of accuracy without supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills and able to work in fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of the paint industry and construction environment an asset
Sales Associate

Full-time (40 hrs / week) 

If you have a drive for customer satisfaction and love talking to people, you will excel as a sales associate. Join our sales team and learn from some of the best!


  • Attend to the front counter to greet customers and meet their needs 
  • Supply knowledge of our products and services to aid customers in completing their projects
  • Receive and process orders 
  • Prepare orders (mix paint and stain, colour match) 
  • Complete point-of-sale transactions 

Requirements / Preferred Skills: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Post-secondary education is an asset, but not required
  • Knowledge of paint, stain and design products and accessories 
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience
  • Proficient in english 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, quick-learner and a good team player
